Tillerson, chairman and CEO of Exxon-Mobil Corporation, acknowledges that price fluctuations, climate change, and apprehensions about energy security have intensified the need for a national dialogue about the future of energy. “We need to understand the challenges of securing the type of energy future we all want,” according to Tillerson, who joined Exxon as a production engineer in 1975 and rose through the ranks to assume his current position in 1986.
