Education and Immigration: A Call to Conscience



At the 7th Annual Lynch School Symposium, Richard J. Ryscavage, SJ, director of the Center for the Study of Faith and Public Life and professor of sociology and international studies at Fairfield University, delivers the keynote speech on society's responsibility to educate immigrants. Respondents are Professor Daniel Kanstroom of the Law School and associate director of the Center for Human Rights and International Justice at Boston College, and attorney Iris Gomez, an advocate for immigrants' rights to higher education at the Massachusetts Law Reform Institute. The program is introduced by Dean Joseph O'Keefe, SJ, of the Lynch School of Education.
