Length: 54 minutes

William Galston of the University of Maryland, Hahrie Han of Wellesley College, Professor Marc Landy, and Professor Alan Wolfe discuss the nature and significance of what analysts describe as a widening gulf within the American body politic. The four agree that polarization is a reality, but that it is neither unprecedented nor cataclysmic. Each panelist examines a different facet of the issue. The program is introduced by Erik Owens, assistant director of the Boisi Center for Religion and American Public Life, which sponsored the event.
