John Quinn is the former archbishop of San Francisco and author of The Reform of the Papacy: The Costly Call to Christian Unity (Crossroad: 1999). His talk, based on the themes of his book, offers suggestions for changing the way authority is exercised within the Church.

Quinn is introduced by Frederick Lawrence, associate professor of theology and director of the Lonergan Workshop at Boston College.
