Sponsored by Boston College and the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, this seminar reviews the findings of a three-year study of the Boston areaís demographic trends and needs. Following an introduction by President William P. Leahy, SJ, Massachusetts Secretary of Environmental Affairs Ian Bowles, and Metropolitan Area Council director Marc Draisen, discuss the findings.

The Boston College Citizen Seminars program was established in 1954 to bring together leaders from academia, business, government, labor, and private nonprofits to discuss and recommend policies on issues facing Boston and the metropolitan region. The seminars are intended to serve as catalysts to bring about positive change and creative solutions.
