Harvey Mansfield is the William R. Kenan, Jr. Professor of Government at Harvard University. A specialist in political philosophy, he writes about topics including the nature of political parties, Machiavelli, liberalism, and the discovery and development of the theory of executive power. This lecture focuses on the philosophy of conservatism and the movement’s future.
