Booking Passage: We Irish and Americans
As part of the Lowell Humanities Series, poet and essayist Thomas Lynch reads from his memoir, Booking Passage: We Irish and Americans (Norton, 2005), a series of meditations on being Irish and Irish-American. Lynch divides his time between Michigan, where he is a funeral director, and his ancestral home in Ireland. His book of essays, The Undertaking: Life Studies from the Dismal Trade (Norton, 1997), was a National Book Award finalist.
