Austrian-born Peter Brabeck-Letmathe has been the CEO of Nestlé S.A., the world's largest food and beverage company, since 1997 and its chairman as of April 2005. He comments on current trends in corporate governance in Europe and the U.S., including the assumption that corporations owe a debt to society, the erosion of entrepreneurship, and the changing language of corporate leadership.
