James Garbarino joined the faculty of Boston College’s Graduate School of Social Work in 2003. Prior to coming to GSSW, Garbarino was on the faculty at Cornell University, where he served as codirector of the Family Life Development Center. His talk centers on his recently coauthored book And Words Can Hurt Forever, a look at bullying in American schools.

Garbarino is introduced by Alberto Godenzi, dean of the Graduate School of Social Work.
