Michael Dupee '90 is the vice president for corporate social responsibility of Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, which ranks number 11 in Forbes magazine's rating of fastest growing companies. Six years ago, the company developed a formal statement of its purpose: “To create the ultimate coffee experience in every life we touch from tree to cup, transforming the way the world understands business.” This mission encompasses suppliers, employees, consumers, stakeholders, according to Dupee, who describes the principles that have guided the company in pursuing its mission.
