The Glee-Men Sing: The Stories and Songs of Yeats, Joyce, O'Casey, Behan, and Kavanagh

This performance is part of a two-day centenary conference on the legacy of Patrick Kavanagh, a pivotal and popular figure in modern Irish poetry. Dublin balladeer Danny Doyle performs songs written by Kavanagh and other key Irish poets. A member of the Irish folk revival movement, Doyle began recording music in 1966.
Doyle is introduced by Ann Morrison Spinney of Boston College’s music department and Irish studies program.
