Sullivan Family Irish Artist in Residence, Séamus Connolly

Séamus Connolly is the director of the Boston College Irish Studies Music, Song, and Dance Program and a 10-time winner of the Irish National Fiddle Championship. In June 2004, he became the inaugural Sullivan Family Irish Artist in Residence at Boston College; this presentation commemorates the gift from G. Craig ’64 and Maureen Sullivan endowing his new position. Joined by musicians Christopher Morgan, Michael Moloney, Laurel Martin, Jimmy Noonan, John McGann, and Larry Reynolds, he performs a selection of traditional tunes and his own compositions.
Connolly is introduced by Thomas Hachey, executive director of the Center for Irish Programs at Boston College.
