Chief Executives' Club of Boston
Michael D. Capellas is the president & CEO of leading global communications provider MCI and a 28-year veteran of the information technology business (before joining MCI in December 2002, he was president of Hewlett-Packard and chairman and CEO of Compaq Computer). He reviews his experience overseeing MCI's 100-day bankruptcy reorganization and responds to speculation about the possible sale of the company. And he offers his predictions for the industry, particularly regarding an “explosive” increase in the use of Internet-protocol networks for telecommunications and the business structures that will be required to support such growth.
Capellas is introduced by Ronald Dion, chairman and CEO of RM Bradley.
