As part of the Lowell Humanities Series, poet Rafael Campo, M.D., reads from his work. Campo teaches and practices internal medicine at Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. His books include a collection of essays, The Healing Art: A Doctor’s Black Bag of Poetry (Norton, 2003); and poetry collections Landscape with Human Figure (Duke University Press, 2002); Diva (Duke University Press, 1999), which was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award; and What the Body Told (Duke University Press, 1996), winner of a Lambda Literary Award.

Campo is introduced by Ricco Villanueva Siasoco, a part-time faculty member in Boston College’s English department.
